26.

Today I turned 26. Well, if you want to be technical, I turned 26 yesterday. Most of the day was perfect. I have been potty training the last 5 days. Riley is doing so so SO well. More detailed post to come. In the meantime, I wanted to share something. We were on our way to get gas today, coming home from my birthday party. I was feeling slightly down in the dumps. All of a sudden Riley says, "Mommy! I haveta go POTTTTY!!". This is the first time she has uttered those words during a car ride. Mike rushed to find a place to park so she could do her business all the while I was coaching her, "Ok Riley, we have to park and we will get your froggy potty, just hold it. Just hold it baby girl!!!". So we pulled into the Target parking lot and made a mad dash to get Riley's potty and Riley out of her carseat so she could do her business. And she did it!! Well.. that's old news as she has been going on her potty since Friday but the fact that she told us and held it! (for all of 2 minutes but still!) Man, I was so proud of her. She then proceeded to need to stop 3 more times before we got home. Which by the 4th time was sorta funny. The fact that we almost ran out of gas before reaching the gas station...not so much. In the end we did get gas though, whew!
